Today, it is a prestigious venue, hosting cultural events and ceremonies.

Desenzano Castle in Desenzano del Garda
The medieval Desenzano del Garda Castle was built between the ninth and tenth centuries for defensive purposes. Enlarged during the Scaliger and Visconti periods, it lost importance under the Venetian Republic. Today it is an impressive venue with views over Lake Garda.

Scaliger Castle of Villafranca
The Scaliger Castle in Villafranca di Verona was erected in the 13th century by the Scaliger seigniory as a strategic fortification to defend the territory from outside domination.
